Synthetic Violence aka Igors Golovin is one of the most promising artists of western Europe with a wide variety of sonic interests. Born 23 years ago, Igors have already released a bulk pack of releases in different genres. He started his career in 2004, producing hardcore. In 2006 he payed a lot of attention to drum’n'bass and became an important figure on Latvian and worldwide scenes. His next interest a musician is melodic IDM and post-industrial. That’s the moment, when Abstrakt Reflections detected his talent.
Finishing his first record “AUTOPSY LP” in 2008, Igors showed impressive skills of production and composition. Moving from European-based labels to Argentina’s Abstrakt Reflections, this musician became a member of this family of composers and experimentators and got a new platform for his sonic investigations.
The last releases of Synthetic Violence very differ from his first musical experiences for many reasons. The first tapes were more energetic and violent, straightforward and beat-orientated. In the Abstrakt Reflections EP “Mind-Splinters” he shows a gentle and tender world of melodies and minimalistic beat work. The music is no more dance, he turned the vector to the beauty and wonder. The forthcoming full-length album goes a bit deeper into ambient constructions and gently-mastered noise beats. 10 tracks with 6 remixes from Abstrakt Reflections artists convey listeners to the universe of love and beauty and show the new level of production quality and composer skills of Synthetic Violence. No more violence and anger here, in this sonic world no one is alone and every single object consists of calming beauty and peace.
Synthetic Violence is the musician of a rare sonic gift. Releasing his 5th album called “XXVIII VI MCMXCII” Igors once again shows his ability to be very different and very innovative. 10 tracks take you away to the universe of autumn love. Gentle melodies, surrounded by distorted and impressively mixed beats give you the picture of liminal space of love and beauty.
Mind Splinters is the 3rd release by Synthetic Violence, one of Latvias highly acclaimed producers. He began producing in 2004, starting with Hardcore and switched to Drum and Bass just 2 years later. Mind Splinters shows the lighter and more experimental side of Synthetic Violence and it’s a pleasure for us to invite you to his latest work on Abstrakt Reflections.
