Tim Ballista is an electronic project based in Moscow and working worldwide.
The basic roots of Tim’s music are in futuristic electronica and beat scene. Releasing IDM and breakcore from Alaska to Scotland, Tim shared stage with such artists as Bong Ra, Cardopusher, Techdiff, Terminal 11, Gromov, Airborne Drumz and travelled all over the post-SNG space, playing on various breakcore and D’n'B events.
However, IDM is not the only interest of Tim Ballista. His main weapon is sound design in any form. Creating deep atmospheres in his work, Tim payed attention to each style and direction he loved. Releasing “Flux” album as a tribute to hard electronica and investigating the scape of objects in hard and sudden release “Thing Scape“, Tim moved forward to more gentle and deep sound in his collaboration with Razxca, building the universe of fantastic structures, based on Ursula Le Guin novels.
Tim loves to tell stories and he comes back to the dark sonic spheres with his AR release. Working on drones and atmospheres, describing the deep space and all the races and creatures, living there, Tim asked several skilled artists to help him in his work to make the sound even more distinct and abstract. Giving less attention to the beat work in this release, Tim went deeper to constructing various forms of the sound, that could ever exist in space.
