Man From Sol is the artistic alias of Nick Chavez from San Diego, USA.
Man From Sol is an exploration of the intersection between texture, rhythm, and complex sound design. The main inspiration behind this project is the dynamic, and often turbulent, relationship between between himself and the various totalities he is a constituent part of, both social and cosmic.
The cold glitch music characteristic of this project is a distillation of the constant propulsion of the individual through an alienating present into an unfathomable future. Consciously beholden to a logic alien to himself, weighed down by the detritus of history, and compelled into a future outside his control, the music made by this man from the Sol system will necessarily reflect the overwhelming standpoint of his place in the universe. This is that music.
