“Behind the Line” is a fusion of surreal and melancholic atmospheres , broken drums , glitches and acoustic guitars. A mix of analog and digital sounds that represents the ground noise of the urban space, and the – constant and instantaneous – narration of the perceptions of his inhabitants.

Welcome Monster X and his “Democracy” EP
There are few artists that live up to their name. Julien Caraz aka Monster X is one of those special few. For when he takes to the stage, a monster is truly unleashed, leaving a trail of destruction as witnessed at various raves and festivals all over Europe. The French born sonic hooligan moved to London 10 years ago, after a performance in France caused a small riot among old punks fighting in a record shop, resulting in smashed windows and other damage.
“Democracy” will be out on March 28.

Here we go with our first release of the year for this exciting 2016. Konstantin Klem presents his “Steps” EP.
“It’s my first IDM/Experimental EP. I didn’t try to make transparently clear or correct sound. The music on this EP is supposed to sound as if it is was written in the 90s. I used a lot of technical methods like granular synthesis or glitch and it’s sounds like you’re listening vinyl. This music is not for fun, but rather for thinking.”

Interview with label owner Pablo Benjamin AKA c0ma for Unknown Art (China)
Abstrakt Reflections is a netlabel focusing on ambient/experimental electronic music. Based on Creative Commons license, they provide free download for all their releases. The label is fully non-profit.
Following the same principle, AR artists make highly creative music, free from any commercial aspects. We have the honor to interview Paul, founder of the label and mastermind of c0ma, to share his thoughts about the label and electronic music.

Finally: Flint Kids “Elements” Contest V/A’s “Antibody” & “Field Emitter” are here!
The wait is over.
Earlier this year we released a Free Samplepack by Flint Kids that accompanied his “Sancerre” EP.
Followed by a great deal of positive feedback, we decided to hold a contest: entrants were to simply make a track from the sounds in the pack + a handful of their own, but no more. Best tracks were to be released on a compilation but we received so many high quality tracks that we had no other choice but to make two compilations.
The result of this experiment are these two V/A’s entitled Field Emitter (18 tracks) & Antibody (10 tracks).

Flint Kids on Bloc 2016
We’re very pleased to announce Flint Kids will be playing live on Bloc 2016 representing Abstrakt Reflections. Big ups Dan!
Although he’s often referenced alongside key players of the IDM scene, Flint Kids has long ploughed his own musical furrow.
Drawing on the twisted sound design twisted sound from the likes of Vaexth, Roel Funcken, Woulg, Richard Devine – among myriad less discernible influences – he continues to do his own thing, as well as running the cult label, Interakt.
This year has seen him perform at Village Underground with Plaid & Daedalus, at Tivoli in Utrecht with Funckarma & Syl, and at the odd squat party in Germany.
